![]() that was the end of the first run of arcades. I was pretty sad the previous year when I saw this giant arcade in this LA mall completely empty. Pac/Galaga contraption that could take money in 2001. I just thought it was cool to see a NEW Ms. I had many great memories in that place, so the 20th anniversary games I have pretty heavy sentimental value for. I had first seen one of these at the bowling alley on my college campus back in 2001. LOL I used to see those everywhere when I worked for Namco's route, I would do it on every one. but my "house rule" was 1 full tank(9999 Fuel Units) maximum if you want to post a high score.Ĭlick to expand.did that only work on those? that probably explains why I was never able to duplicate that again on real Galagas. Hell, Lunar Lander would allow you to "buy more fuel" to continue your game. Feel free to play as long as you like, but anything after "Game Over" that first time doesn't count on the High Score board. in my home, the rule is "Continues Don't Count". ![]() and lots of games either had that feature, or had it added later on. we all know that it's about emptying quarters from your pocket. ![]() Three games in one cabinet that are official releases isn't that bad, even if some of the sounds are off.Īs for the Continues. I have mine hooked into my Super Pac-Man cabinet(using a Jamma adapter) until I can find a boardless Midway cabinet for the right price. Pac-Man well enough, so buying the "conversion kit" for a (then) reasonable price was good enough for me. I've never been a huge Galaga fan, but I love Pac-Man and Ms. but otherwise, the gameplay seems pretty spot on. Yes, technically, it's emulation, and yes, some of the sounds are off(the Pac-Man eating ghosts is the most glaring one).
